ANGEL REGULARAL RED SEA MEDIUM Pygoplites diacanthus Common Name: Regal Angel Description: The Regal Angel can be easily recognized by the alternating yellow and black-edged white bars on the body of the fish. The soft part of the dorsal fin is blue with what appears to be black scribbles. The anal fin of the fish has yellow and blue stripes and the caudal fin is yellow. Recommended Tank Size: The Regal Angel should be in a tank holding approximately 100 - 125 gallons with a temperature range between 72 - 78 degrees Fahrenheit and a pH level of about 8.1 - 8.4. An ideal tank for this fish would be equipped with plenty of live rock for the fish to hide and swim around. The Regal Angel is considered shy and may be kept alone or in a mated pair. Food & Diet: The Regal Angel is an omnivore and may eat greens, pellets, and flakes. This fish may be very picky about eating so it is important to feed the fish a varying diet including live, frozen, and prepared formula foods consisting of mussels, shrimp, squid, and spinach. Try to feed the Regal Angel small amounts of food several times a day.
