Protomelas marginatus (turquoise Hap)-1.25 -2.25 inches
Not a lot is know about Protomelas marginatus. It is a smaller type Hapochromis much like the red empress so it would do well in a 55 gallon tank. It is a very beautiful fish with shades of metallic green. Green is not a common color in the Malawi tank so makes a nice addition to a display tank. I feed them the Red Zebra Stampede or Rainbow flakes or crumbles. I feed Grow Baby Grow when they are juveniles under 2 inches.
