MARQUESAS BUTTERFLY - small 2 - 3 inches

Chaetodon delivis Common Name - Marquesas Butterfly, Marquesan Butterfly Description - The Marquesas Butterfly is very beautiful and would make a stunning addition to any tank. This fish is very rare and because of that it is considered a prized possession to own one in a home aquarium. This fish has a beautiful orange color covering the dorsal half of the body and small orange masks covering the eyes. The rest of the fish's body is white with black spots. Recommended Tank Size - This fish requires a tank able to hold at least 75 gallons of water with a temperature range between 74-80 degrees Fahrenheit and a pH level of about 8.1-8.4. This tank should be equipped with lots of live rock so the fish can graze within the tank. Food & Diet - The Marquesas Butterfly is considered an omnivore. The diet for this fish may also include meaty foods. Some example of what can be fed to this fish include finely chopped clams, shrimp, squid, mysis, brine, kirll, and algae. Level of Care - Easy Reef Compatibility - Reef compatible with caution, the fish may nip at the corals and clams.
