COWFISH ATLANTIC MEDIUM Lactoria cornuta Common Name: Atlantic Cowfish, Longhorn Cowfish Description: The Atlantic Cowfish is a very interesting looking fish as it appears to have two horns near the top of the fish's head. This fish is generally yellow - tan in color and clearly has not two but four long spines at the four corners of its box-shaped body. This fish is very popular and commonly seen in many aquariums. Recommended Tank Size: The tank size for the Atlantic Cowfish should be about 150 gallons with a temperature range between 75 - 82 degrees and a pH level of 8.0 - 8.4. This fish is happiest in a very peaceful community with other non-aggressive fish. Also make sure to include rockwork in the tank, this makes for good hiding places. Food & Diet: The Atlantic Cowfish is an omnivore. This fish should be fed invertebrates like corals, polyps, craps, shrimp, molluscs, and worms.
