Lethrinops sp. "Red Cap" 1.25 -2.25 inches

Like all Lethrinops species, L. sp. "Red Cap" hunts by shoveling and filtering the substrate for food particles. This undescribed species probably belongs with the Nyassae-type Lethrinops due to the presence of the characteristic black pigment band formed in the rear part of the dorsal fin. Males have many large egg spots on the anal fin. This is not an assertive cichlid
