ANGEL TEARDROP OR KEYHOLE SMALL Centropyge tibicin Common Name: Keyhole Angel, Teardrop Angel, Tibicen Angel Description: The Keyhole Angel has a black body with a vertical white spot just behind the head, and the anal and pelvic fins are yellow. As the fish matures a thin blue line develops around the edge of the dorsal and tail fins. Recommended Tank Size: The Keyhole Angel needs a tank holding at least 50 gallons. This aquarium should have large amount of live rock for hiding and grazing. The temperature of the water within the tank should be 72 - 82 degrees Fahrenheit with a pH between 8.1 and 8.4. Food & Diet: The Keyhole Angel is considered an omnivore. An adequate diet for this fish would consist of spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, frozen shrimp, and other meaty items. It is recommended that this fish be fed 2 - 3 times a day. Level of Care: Moderate Reef Compatibility: Reef compatible, proceed with caution, nips at stony and soft corals and clam mantles.
