Auriga Butterfly  LARGE

Out of stock

Butterflyfish belong to the family Chaetodontidae. These fish typically resemble smaller versions of the marine angelfish but lack the preopercle spines at the gill cover that the angelfish have. Typically, butterflyfish only reach around five to eight inches but some species can grow as large as twelve inches.

Make sure your aquarium is large enough! Most species of butterfly will feed on coral polyps and anemones, making them generally unsuitable for reef tanks and also occasionally very challenging to keep fed. Typically, butterflyfish are not recommended for beginners.
