GOBY SLEEPER GOLDHEAD MEDIUM Valencienna strigata

Common Names: Pennant Glider, Yellowheaded or Golden Head Sleeper, Blueband, Bluestreak, Yellowheaded Sleeper Goby

Description:  The Goby Sleeper Goldhead is unique in its own.  As you can imagine the Sleepr Goldhead has a gold head with a bright blue streak bellow the eye; the rest of the body is off-white.  They are also known as being hard workers as they sift through the sand and clean the sand at the same time as they eat. They originate from Fiji, Indonesia, and the Solomon Islands.  They can also grow up to 12 inches in length.

Recommended Tank Size:  It is recommended that you house these fish in a 50 gallon or larger tank with live sand as the substrate. It is also best to also provide a well-sealed canopy and an aquarium filled with live rock. They will eat on the bottom of the sand gaining mouthfuls of the sand as well as the food.  These fish works best in pairs, which is the reason for such a large tank.  The Goby Sleeper Goldhead will do well in a water temperature of 75-78°F.

Food and Diet: The Goby Sleep Goldhead feeds on a variety of live and frozen brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, live black worms and prepared foods.  They should be fed many times a day.
