GOBY ENGINEER Pholidichthys leucotaenia Common Name: Engineer Goby, Convict Goby, Pacific Neon Goby, Convict Worm Blenny Description: The Engineer Goby is a very interesting fish. The fish is black in color with horizontal stripes from from the eye to the tail. The colors of the horizontal stripes change throughout the Engineer Goby's life. Recommended Tank Size: The Engineer Goby should be kept in a tank able to hold at least 70 gallons of water with a temperature of about 72-78 degrees Fahrenheit and a pH level of about 8.1-8.4. The bottom of the tank should be covered with enough sand for burrowing. The Engineer Goby is generally very peaceful and will get along with other peaceful tankmates. This fish may be kept in pairs or small group, if keeping more than one Engineer Goby in the tank, they should all be introduced to the tank at the same time. Food & Diet: The Engineer Goby is a carnivore. This fish should be fed a diet consisting of fresh or frozen seafood, brime shrimp, and mysis shrimp. Make sure to fee this fish at least twice a day.
