  The name Blenny refers to fish of the suborder Blennioidei, which is comprised of six families and over 830 species of fish! These little guys are known in general for their elongated body type. There are marine, brackish, and even freshwater species of blenny out there, but this category contains only those suitable for marine aquariums.

These fish are generally benthic in nature, meaning that they spend most of their time on or near the substrate or décor as opposed to swimming openly in the water column.

Meiacanthus mossambicus, the Mozambique fangblenny, is a species of combtooth blenny found in coral reefs in the western Indian ocean where it is known to occur off the coast of eastern Africa as well as Madagascar and the Comoro Islands
