Angel Bicolor Medium Centropyge bicolor

Common Name - Angel Bicolor, Oriole Angel, Two-colored Angel

Description: The Bicolor Angel is considered to be one of the most strikingly beautiful fish among the Dwarf or Pygmy Angelfish. The Bicolor Angel is composed of two colors with a vibrant yellow anterior and a deep blue posterior. A splash of deep blue extends upward vertically from the eye to the top of the head of the fist. Its tail is yellow in color.

Recommended Tank Size: The Bicolor Angel may require a tank holding up to 50 gallons. This particular fish does enjoy grazing and hiding so there needs to be plenty of live rock in the tank, in fact they prefer an abundance of rock-work to make them feel comfortable within the tank. The tank's water temperatue should be approximately 72 - 78 degrees Fahrenheit with a pH level between 8.1 and 8.4. If you plan to put more than just one Bicolor Angel in this aquarium then it is important to equip the tank with plenty of caves, archways, and overhangs to swim through or hide.

Food & Diet: The Bicolor Angel is an omnivore that requires a varied diet. Feed this fish with spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, and frozen shrimp.

Level of Care: Moderate

Reef Compatibility: Reef safe with caution, nips at the large polyped stony corals, soft corals, zoanthids and clam mantles.
