BUTTERFLY HENIOCHUS BLK & WHITE Heniochus acuminatus
Common Name - Black and White Heniochus Butterfly Fish, Moorish Idol, Longfin Bannerfish Description - The Black and White Heniochus Butterfly Fish has an elongated white dorsal fin. The base color of the fish is white with two wide black stripes. There are black marks above the eyes of the fish and the soft dorsal and caudal find are yellow.
Recommended Tank Size - The Black and White Heniochus Butterfly Fish should be placed in a tank of at least 100 gallons with a temperature range between 72 - 78 degrees Fahrenheit and a pH level of 8.1 - 8.4. This fish is generally peaceful and will get along with other tankmates well. However if you plan on having two or more of the Black and White Heniochus Butterfly Fish, then they should be introduced to the tank at the same time.
Food & Diet - The Black and White Heniochus Butterfly Fish is an omnivore. This fish can be fed flake food but prefers clams and mussels. This fish may act as a cleanerfish, eating the parasites off of the other fish in the tank. The fish may also eat small meaty foods and herbivore preparations.

Reef Compatibility - Not reef compatible, may nip at corals.
