Scientific Name: Aulonocara stuartgranti (Mdoka) is also known as the Flametail. This stuartgranti peacock comes from Mdoka areas in Malawi. The mdoka is very similar to the Ngara peacock which is also called flametail, the Mdoka is a lighter baby blue as compared to the darker blue of the Ngara. This is a carnivore colors up well on the Rainbow Zebra and Red Zebra Stampede with supplemental feedings of Krill. This fish is frequently included in The Peacock and Hap/Peacock Mixes found on the Specials section of the web site. This popular peacock is mildly aggressive and reaches 5 inches at maturity.
