This particular angel fish has distinct variations in appearance as it grows from a juvenile to an adult. As a juvenile the body of the fish is blue with several white vertical bars, a metallic blue color outlines the body and the tail of the fish is bright yellow. As the fish matures to an adult, the white vertical stripes will disappear and a bright vertical bar will appear. As the fish grows in length, a neon blue irregular patter will appear, the center vertical stripe will turn bright yellow, and the tail will become a transparent yellow. Eventually the fish will end up being blue in color with a large vertical bar covering the middle portion of its body. Recommended Tank Size: This tank raised angel fish requires a tank able to hold at least 250 gallons of water with a temperature range between 72 - 78 degrees Fahrenheit and a pH level of about 8.1 - 8.4.
